Polar Plunge

The Polar Bear Plunge takes place every January 1st at noon. A few hundred Bainbridge Islanders show up between 11:30 - 11:45 and find parking along Lytle Road or on Pleasant Beach Drive. Then walk to the beach and find friends and neighbors.

Cozy up next to a lodge fire, take an illuminated solstice walk through towering evergreens and find that perfect something for everyone along Winslow’s historic downtown along with our spolight events.
Bundle up and trade the bustle and bright city lights for the cozy warmth of a holiday weekend under magical starry nights and towering evergreens on Bainbridge Island. The island’s holiday calendar has something for everyone from tiny tots to the merry at heart and runs from the day after Thanksgiving through the New Year.

It’s time for the BARN Holiday Bazaar! Buy directly from the makers and kick off the holiday season at this annual celebration of creativity at BARN. More than 60 BARN member-makers will offer items for sale at this free event. From jewelry to wood arts, basketry to weaving, you’ll find an unmatched selection of original hand-crafted items. Ginger Bread Houses

The December First Friday Art Walk kicks-off gingerbread house construction. You design and build your own gingerbread house! Graham crackers, icing, and candy will be provided. Gingerbread house making will be available through December 14 or until supplies last.

BIMA's Winter Night Market & WurliPop Holiday Concerts

Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to The Manor House at Pleasant Beach Village, bringing holiday magic and joy to the community! Families and children of all ages can meet Santa, share their Christmas wishes, and snap memorable photos with the jolly duo. Free to the Public
The Warmth of Winter at Bloedel Reserve
Tour Festive Holiday Décor at the Residence and Arrival Garden
December 18 - 22, 5 pm - 6pm Soltice Walks
Discover the warmth of winter at Bloedel Reserve. Find companionship with yourself and others in the gardens this season. The Residence and Arrival Garden will be decorated with festive holiday décor and the Solstice Walk garden journey will be punctuated by lighted moments.
Visit December 18-22 for our annual solstice walk tradition. Silent Solstice Walks are December 18, 19, 20; Family Solstice Walks are December 21 & 22. Doors open at 4:30 PM and all walks begin promptly at 5 PM.
Solstice Walk event listings are not yet live on our website but will be next week; tickets will be available 3-4 weeks before the event dates.

Join the search for the downtown elves!
Beginning December 1st, participating stores will have Elf “bingo cards” available to elf sleuths, to locate the hidden elves in their stores. When you find the elf, head to that store’s checkout desk and you’ll get a stamp that you’ve found their elf.
Find 10 or more, and bring your card down to Calico Toy Shoppe by December 23 2024, to enter a drawing on December 24th to win a special gift!
